The Blower Foundation for Cultural Connection is a UK registered charity set up in 2004 to support projects that connect people to their cultural heritage, an endeavour which the Trustees believe
is both empowering and necessary in the fragmented world we live in today.
The Blower Foundation achieves ‘cultural connection’ through four different projects: the ‘Jeremy Howard Scholarship’; the ‘Michael Blower Sketchbooks’; the ‘Archive of the Built Environment’; and the ‘John and Peggy Clenshaw Prize’.
The Foundation raises donations during the year from Stedman Blower Architects Ltd, who carry out prop-bono visits to prospective Clients as well as provide logistical support in material, accommodation and time. Funds are being raised at a rate of about £5,000 per year through generous donations, so that by 2010, funds on deposit have reached approaching £25,000, with bursaries and charitable support reaching nearly £10,000 over the last five years.
